United For Peace and Justice March

On Saturday January 27 th in Washington DC there was one of the largest marches for peace since the time of Viet Nam. Most media sources say 150 thousand people came to express their anger for the war.

The speakers were a combination of various celebrities and well known rights activists.

This does not mean that the march was without opposition as the conservative activist group Free Republic assembled in expression for their support of the war and for the troops as well as some street props aimed at taking shots at some of the well known peace activists.

But, all and all it was a beautiful day for photographs and lots of colourful costumes and creative street theater.

Until the next grassroots action…

Peace OUT
