*V* For Vendetta says:

OBEY THE CONSTITUTION OR ELSE!!

On March 30th 2007 there was a very interesting rally at Lafayette Park across from the White House as a group of about 100 people all dressed up in a costume from the Movie based on the DC Comic series “V For Vendetta”.

For those of you who do not know the movie or comic book it’s based loosely on a character in British history named Guy Fawkes who had planned to blow up an at the time tyrannical Parliament.

From what I was able to get from my conversations with these nice people were that they believe in a strict following of The Constitution and how taxes as well as other changes and the latest violations of The Constitution are considered unacceptable and how we are facing a fascist style government.

The group was part of a convention taking place in Northern Virginia put on by an organization called the “We The People Foundation”.

They were actually a fun and interesting group, and a nice change from the usual rallies I cover here in DC.

I am looking forward to their return and when they put together another wonderfully visual rally like this again.
