Aprl 22nd, 2007 Feet To the Fire

Starting Sunday April 22 nd F.A.I.R. aka Federation for American

Immigration Reform http://www.fairus.org kicked off their 4 day

conference and lobby quest with a rally in Lafayette Park across

from the White House. About 300-500 people showed up to express

their concerns and anger over what they see as an open border and

illegal immigration problem.

,

The rally was organized and funded by D.A King of the Dustin Inman

Society http://www.thedustininmansociety.org

There were also a small feisty group of counter protesters of about 25

who were mostly from the group SDS

http://www.sds.revolt.org/

At times there were a few fired up exchanges between the two

groups and at moments there were also some calm and rational

discussions

The event was followed on Monday with a day of citizen lobbying and

that evening with a viewing of the movie “Border” by actor Chris

Burgard http://www.bordermovie.com/ which had a few words to open

by G Gordon Liddy.

Tuesday, April 24 th there was a press conference organized by Roger

Hedgecock who had such speakers as Rep. Tom Trancredo

(R. Colorado ) and the wives of jailed border agents

http://www.pardontheagents.com/

That Tuesday evening there was a reception to help with the legal

fund for the agents, but by the time they got there they claimed it

was “sold out” and they refused to let in any

press..blah..blah..whatever…

Still, all and all I think I did get enough images to cover the event

and show the public yet another grassroots rally that the

mainstream media probably has not presented to this extent.

Until the next rally,

PEACE OUT!
