DC Free Republic Honours the Soldiers and Recruiters

On May 19 th about half a dozen DC Freepers went to the recruiting office on 14 th street in the down town district to pay honour to the men and women who work in the office as well as those who have decided to join up and serve.

The recruiting offices all over the country have been the targets of antiwar demonstrations and this particular office has recently hit hard times as the front window was smashed during a vandalism protest. Free Republic wanted to counter those past events by showing them how they feel they should be held in high respect.

The group brought pizza and sweets and it was a very intimate, yet heart warming event.
